The brightest feature in this image coincides with a massive black hole 2 million times heavier than the Sun. The spiral-like feature shows the disribution of hot gas orbiting the massive black hole. The large-scale shell feature is a supernova remnant which is thought to lie very close to the center of our galaxy.
